What is Tarot?

What is Tarot?

Tarot dates back to the 1440's - which is a long time ago considering most things 'magik' were hidden or shunned away.

Initially, tarot cards were seen as a game and often, standard playing cards like you get today can be used in readings! Initially, tarot were used to play a game called Tarocchi, which is very similar to playing bridge - nothing like today, where not many people have even heard of the game Tarocchi.

What does tarot mean today?  It is used as an extremely powerful divination tool to help guide and direct the questioner (the person having the tarot reading)  in various areas of their life.  Each reader is different, and for me, tarot is not about predicting specific events (whilst this is part of it) but it is about allowing the questioner to realise that the power is all within themselves.  People can be confused about which choice to make, and tarot will 'ease' that sense of worry, especially if the choices at hand show to be very fruitful!

We are all phenomenal human beings and we are connected to the vast and wondrous universe, so it makes sense to use a slice of that universe to access the map of our life to see a little bit clearer.

I have always been aware of the world of tarot but it became more of a fixture when I was gifted a deck when I was 25. I played around with them but didn't really use them for  much else.

It wasn't until I had a reading with a well known and talented reader back in 2009, who encouraged me to learn the tarot as I had a natural gift for it. This is what I did. I started off reading for friends and family, and soon enough the predictions started to come to fruition! This is when I developed to read professionally and the rest is history!

As well as tarot, I also work with unblocking energies and chakras and also create events such as moon meditation and other meditation classes.
